Tax Moratorium to Business Sectors (SB Resolution No. 1552-1988)

WHAT AND WHEN TO AVAIL

Tax incentives may be availed of based on the schedule of payment of taxes granted under the tax moratorium effective January 1, 1989.

SCHEDULE OF INCENTIVES

–         First (1st) and second (2nd) year of operation

Fee from business tax and other local taxes

–         Third (3rd) year of operations:

50% of business taxes based on total gross sales

–         Fourth (4th) year of operations:

75% of business tax based on total gross sales

–         Fifth (5th) year of operations:

100% of business tax based on the total average gross sales of its four (4) years of operation

WHO MAY AVAIL

All duly registered corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships, cooperatives and joint ventures, who may engage in manufacturing industries (per Municipal Zoning Ordinance No. 16 s. 1990 listing) are entitled to avail of this tax moratorium.

HOW TO AVAIL

All new establishments are required first to secure the following:

–         Barangay Clearance

–         Assessor’s Clearance

–         Sanitary Permit

–         Fire Safety Inspection Certificate

–         Community Tax (Individual or Corporate)

–         Social Security Services Number

–         Municipal Treasurer’s Receipt

–         Others when applicable

(BOI, Kalakalan 20 certificates)

Upon completion of the above, submit certificate/ clearance to the Office of the Mayor (Licensing Section) for the issuance of Business Permits and Accreditation and Exemption Certificates.

Accreditation and Exemption Certificate must be presented to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office for assessment and application of exemption and payment of tax due.
