Red Cross launches Project 143

Last November 29-30, 2010, the Philippine National Red Cross conducted the Basic Course on Red Cross 143 Mobilization.

Red Cross 143 is a program rooted on the values of volunteerism, concern for others and efficiency. It ensures that every community in the country is prepared and responsive in case of emergency.

Volunteers were trained in Disaster Preparedness and Response, Health and Welfare, Voluntary Blood Donation and Advocacy to provide essential information and be mobilized in the field during disasters and emergencies.
